The department was established during 1998 as one of the Departments of the Higher Institute for teacher training in Qasr bin ghashir, where the Faculty of Education began with this name, and for organizational reasons, the name was changed to the Faculty of teacher training during 2004, it was changed to its current name, the Faculty of Education Qasr bin ghashir during 2008.- The department accepts students of the secondary certificate in both scientific and literary aspects ,where they are prepared to become teachers for the first cycle of the basic education stage (first grade ,second grade , third grade), through their studies for eight semesters, in which the student studies a number of supporting subjects, numbered (11) subjects in addition to educational subjects, numbered (13) subjects in addition to compulsory specialized subjects, numbered (33) subjects, the student also studies a number of (9) 122) a unit of study after which a bachelor's degree in education is awarded .- The student applies the practical education program (field training) in the last semester at the target schools to apply the program, which is determined by the Department.
